Author of The Journey
Lorene Barrett attends Word of Life Christian Outreach Center in Siler City, NC and serves under her pastors, Dr. Carl and Mechelle Thompson. She has attended the church's School of Ministry for the past seven years and has been awarded several Certificates of Completion of Biblical Studies. She's originally from Goldston, NC and still resides there. She's a private home health nurse aide, as well as an ordained minister. She enjoys serving the Lord and being a blessing to those whose paths cross her life.

A Shaw University graduate, Christina was born in Richmond, VA but grew up in Sanford, NC. She’s the baby of six children and the proud mother of an amazing little boy. She’s a faithful member at Try Jesus Ministries International, and she’s a social worker. She's also the owner of Pureé Fashions Boutique, a body positive fashion boutique for plus-size women. Her passion is advocating for people and providing resources. She is grateful for where God has brought her and excited to walk out the rest of her journey through life. The best is yet to come!

Tanita L. Barrow
Author of Made By Love, With Love, To Love
A North Carolina native, Tanita Barrow was raised in Sanford, NC and graduated from Lee Senior High. She’s the oldest of six siblings. One of her favorite sayings is, “God, prepare me for what you’ve prepared for me.” A member of Body Christ Outreach Ministries, she stands firm on her faith. During her down time, she enjoys drawing, painting, and spending time with family.

Born in Chatham County, originally from Goldston, NC, Pastor Pansy Green is the pastor of Try Jesus Ministries International of Sanford, NC, where she serves with her husband of 40-plus years, Apostle Joseph Green. They have four children, 19 grandchildren, and 4 great - grandchildren. She is the founder and visionary of Women Working Out of Love (WWOOL) and R3T Solutions & Services, 2 outreach ministries that provide assistance to the community to meet a plethora of needs. Her greatest passion is helping others and equipping the saints for Kingdom building.

Dr. Donald Kivett

Senior Pastor of Christian Faith Ministries, Bishop Donald Kivett has pastored this church located in Sanford, NC for over 30 years. He has run two homeless shelters and currently runs a food ministry out of his church. He holds a Doctorate in Theology as well as a Doctorate in Christian Counseling, and is the lead instructor at Christian Faith Bible College. With his wife, Pastor Diane Kivett, right by his side, he has dedicated his life to equipping the saints while serving the community and bringing many lost souls to Christ. He believes wholeheartedly that the Church should strive to do as Jesus did in Matthew 25:31-46, where Jesus teaches us we should feed the hungry, clothe the naked, house the homeless, visit the sick and minister to the prisoners. He says “If you have done it to the least of men, you have done it unto me.”

A NC native, Sharayne was born in Sanford, NC and graduated from Southern Lee High School in 2010. She is a member of His Kingdom Ministries in Durham, NC. She is the proud mother of three beautiful little girls, Sariah, Sakiyah and Samiyah. Her girls keep her on her toes, but when she has a moment, she enjoys writing or listening to music. Dr. Steve McMillian, Sr.

Apostle Steve McMillian Sr. is the shepherd of New Life Covenant Fellowship Church in Fayetteville, NC, where he serves with his wife, Dr. Rita Ewing McMillian. A native of Fayetteville, Dr. Stephen McMillian graduated from the E.E. Smith High School and later received an Associate’s from Fayetteville Tech, along with three PhDs in Divinity and Theology from St. Thomas University and Catalpa University. He is also a veteran who proudly served in the US Army.
Although it hasn’t been as easy as it may look, Dr. Steven McMillian states, “It’s been rewarding to see many lives changed, bodies healed, and minds restored.” He has been pastoring for 40 years and is well-known throughout the community for his servanthood.
Jessica B. Smith

An NC native, Jessica B. Smith is the owner and founder of WriteSmith Productions, Inc. She's a Campbell University grad and holds an MA in English and an MFA in Creative Writing, both from National University in La Jolla, CA. Currently, she is pursuing her Master's in Biblical Studies. Jessica is also an award-winning writer/director/producer with several titles on Amazon Prime and Tubi, including the romantic-comedy movie Elle Rose, and the spin-off series, also titled Elle Rose.
